Bring STEM learning to life with a hands-on, innovative, and engaging curriculum where students don’t just learn about robotics, technology, augmented reality, autonomous vehicles, and engineering design; they use them to solve real-world problems!Â
Perfect for after-school, summer, homeschool, and enrichment programs!Â
More Information
Innovative Changemakers is a dynamic, 33-lesson/session, project-based STEM curriculum for grades 4-5.  The module combines robotics, augmented reality, architectural drafting, engineering design, 3D modeling, autonomous vehicles, problem-solving, and innovation into learning experiences that immerse students in the technologies shaping their future!Â

3 lessons/sessionsÂ
Students begin their journey by exploring what it means to think and act like an innovator. Through engaging activities, they examine how technology can be leveraged to solve real-world problems at both local and global levels, with a focus on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Students develop essential habits of mind by learning how to document ideas, reflect on their thinking, and collaborate effectively. This unit lays the groundwork for leadership, problem-solving, innovative technology, and purposeful design.Â

15 lessons/sessions
In this immersive design experience, students work in teams and take on the role of architects and entrepreneurs as they tackle the Tiny House Design Challenge, creating innovative housing solutions for individuals experiencing homelessness. Using architectural drafting, 3D modeling, and augmented reality, teams design functional, constraint-based living spaces that address real human needs. Along the way, students explore career pathways in architecture, design, and emerging technologies while strengthening their ability to apply the Engineering Design Process in meaningful ways. The unit culminates in team presentations where students pitch their designs, simulating real-world entrepreneurial experiences.

15 lessons/sessions
In the final unit, students work in teams to explore the intersection of robotics, autonomous vehicles, and artificial intelligence to improve the safety of school bus transportation. Through hands-on investigation and collaborative problem-solving, teams design and test innovative solutions to a challenge faced by school districts and communities nationwide. Students deepen their understanding of how emerging technologies function and how they can be applied to enhance safety and efficiency. This unit emphasizes inquiry, iteration, and real-world application while exposing students to high-demand, future-focused careers in robotics and AI. The unit culminates in team presentations where students pitch their designs, simulating real-world entrepreneurial experiences.
